Dirtybird BBQ FAQs

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Dirtybird BBQ D.C. is Saturday, May 13 at DC Brau Brewery
  • The festival runs from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Gates open at 3 p.m.
  • Performances by Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Kill Frenzy, Walker & Royce, and Weiss
  • Festival tickets cost $40; BBQ plate vouchers cost $21
  • FREE shuttle service provided from Rhode Island Avenue Metro

 

WHERE IS DIRTYBIRD BBQ D.C.?
The Dirtybird BBQ will take place in the outdoor lot at DC Brau Brewery, located at 3178 Bladensburg Rd NE, Washington, D.C. 20018.

IS THERE PARKING ON SITE?
No public parking is available on-site. We encourage you to take advantage of other forms of transportation, including the Metro or ride-sharing services.

WHERE IS THE NEAREST METRO? WILL THERE BE A SHUTTLE SERVICE?
The nearest Metro stop is Rhode Island Avenue Metro (Red line), and the festival will be providing FREE shuttle service to and from the Metro and the festival grounds. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this free service, especially if you plan to spend the entire day with us.
 Shuttles will depart every 15 minutes from the Rhode Island Avenue station, with the first shuttle departing at 2:30 PM. Shuttles will continue to run back to the Metro station after the festival has concluded.

WILL THE FESTIVAL BE CANCELED IF IT RAINS?
No! Rest assured that Dirtybird BBQ will go on – rain or shine. Check the weather reports in the days leading up to the festival to ensure you are prepared for any bouts of inclement weather.

CAN I PURCHASE A FESTIVAL TICKET ON SITE?
Yes. Tickets will be available for purchase on site (cash only).

WILL THERE BE ATMS ON SITE?
Yes. We will have ATMs throughout the festival grounds in case you would like to purchase food, alcohol, or merchandise.

CAN I PURCHASE A BBQ PLATE VOUCHER ON SITE?
Yes. BBQ plate vouchers will be available for purchase throughout the day at the festival. BBQ vouchers cost $21 (cash only).

I AM A VEGETARIAN. WILL YOU HAVE BBQ PLATE OPTIONS FOR ME?
Yes! Festival-goers are able to purchase vegetarian BBQ plates for the festival, both in advance or on site. The cost for a vegetarian BBQ plate is $21.

WILL THERE BE OTHER FOOD AND DRINK OPTIONS AVAILABLE AT THE FESTIVAL?
Yes! In addition to Dirtybird’s classic BBQ plates, local food trucks will be on site in case you are craving additional food options at the festival.
In addition, there will be several alcohol options for purchase on site in the festival beer garden section, including DC Brau beer and liquor. You must be 21+ to drink. Dirtybird BBQ will also have an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD TO THE FESTIVAL?
Unfortunately, no. Dirtybird BBQ is strictly 18+.

AM I ALLOWED TO ENTER THE DC BRAU BUILDING?
No. The festival will take place in the DC Brau outdoor lot. Concert-goers are not permitted to enter the DC Brau building.

WILL RE-ENTRY BE ALLOWED?
Yes, re-entry is permitted with festival hand stamp.

I PURCHASED WILL-CALL TICKETS. WHERE DO I PICK THEM UP?
Will call tickets are available at the festival entrance. You must have a government-issued photo ID to pick up will call tickets.

I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL. CAN I GET A REFUND OR RESELL MY TICKET?
Tickets to the Dirtybird BBQ are non-refundable. If you’d like someone else to pick up your ticket, they’ll need to present a full, unaltered copy of the purchaser’s government-issued photo ID, credit card used to purchase the tickets (all numbers must be visible) and a copy of the Ticketfly confirmation email. We cannot release tickets without all three of these documents. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door unless the festival sells out in advance.
We cannot verify the authenticity of tickets on Stubhub, Craigslist, or other resellers. We reserve the right to refuse entry if your ticket scans as invalid and you will not be eligible for a refund.

WILL THERE BE WATER REFILL STATIONS ON SITE?
Yes, there will be water refill stations located throughout the festival.

CAN I BRING WATER TO THE FESTIVAL?
Yes! You can bring up to 3 factory-sealed water bottles (32oz max) or 1 empty personal water bottle. Camelbaks are permitted, but they must be empty upon entry.

WILL THERE BE MERCHANDISE FOR PURCHASE AT THE FESTIVAL?
Yes! Both Dirtybird Records and U Street Music Hall will have merchandise tables on site (cash only).

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED FROM THE FESTIVAL:
NO Fireworks
NO Outside Food or Beverage (besides sealed water bottles)
NO Weapons or Projectiles
NO Drugs or Drug Paraphernalia
NO Personal Vaping Devices or E-Cigarettes
NO Cameras with Detachable Lenses
NO Audio/Video Recording Devices of any kind
NO Personal Shade Structures/Tents
NO Coolers or Chairs
NO Animals (except service animals)
NO Cans or Glass Bottles
NO Masks (it will be hot, help us keep you cool)
NO Wagons, Carts, Bicycles, Skateboards, or Skates
NO Backpacks Larger Than 17”x12”x10”
NO Laser Pointers, Air Horns or Noise Makers
