The word is out! Slow Roast Records is busy cookin’ up somethin’ that will titilate your musical taste buds! Tasters and tastemakers alike from all corners of the globe are salivating at the sensual aroma of a meal fit for a… pig?

Served up by none other than the legendary DJ Craze and avant-garde producer extraordinaire Kill The Noise, Slow Roast is a label that will showcase a whole lot of amazing music across many genres. The label is distributed by A-Trak and Nick Catchdub’s highly regarded Fool’s Gold Records. With a list of influential names like that working behind the scenes, it’s got everyone asking a lot of questions!

As many already know the boss hogs behind this label have very diverse musical backgrounds. So naturally, when it comes to selecting artists and releases, these guys plan on choppin’ things up a bit! With that being said, it’s difficult to pigeonhole the Slow Roast Sound. What you can always expect though, is a piping hot, 100% pure, quality cut that will leave you satisfied and wanting more!

This year is already shaping up to be a fat one, with radio play around the world, endorsement by some of dance music’s most influential DJs, and huge support from club goes and music listeners around the world! Be sure to keep an eye out for future Slow Roast releases and the Slow Roast team in the flesh with their one man party pig mascot Ludwig Von Pig aka Louie!

Sign up for reduced admission – http://bit.ly/UHALLDC_HERC

1978 was a pivotal year in the evolution of dance music. Saturday Night Fever had hijacked disco from the gay, black and Latino underground scene and turned it into a strutting global pop phenomenon spurring DJs like Frankie Knuckles in Chicago and Larry Levan in New York to push the expansive, electronic dreams of Gorgio Moroder (I Feel Love) and Walter Gibbons (Ten Percent) towards what would eventually become House and Garage.

1978 was also the year that Andy Butler was born. Exactly 30 years later, with a little help from his vocalist friends Antony (of Antony and the Johnsons), Kim Ann Foxman and Nomi, Andy is reviving the spirit of real disco and the house sounds it spawned with enough passion and finesse to ignite both the underground and the pop world all over again.

In its name, sound and romantic, heroic spirit, Hercules And Love Affair is the result of Andy’s dedication to the Classics: both the myths and legends of Ancient Greece and Rome that captured his imagination as a child, and the timeless club tracks that soundtracked the euphoria and delirium of his adolescence and adult life.

BLISS returns to U Street Music Hall, hosted by resident DJ Will Eastman and guests Stretch Armstrong (Plant Music, NYC) and Fabiana (Garutachi). Our agenda is no attitude, just fun, and insane dancing. Our mission is to get you in trouble, intoxicated & in love.

DJs spin House, Indie Dance, Electropop, Club, Techno, Punk; new, forward-looking dance music and everything that makes you move.

$3 BLISSPOP BRATWURSTS ALL NIGHT!

WILL EASTMAN:
Eastman is a hometown favorite in Washington, D.C. with DJ sets renowned for merging the energy and intensity of punk with the best new dance music, and raw, sexy twists on house, indie, disco and techno. Named by the Washington Post “one of the city’s titan DJs” and “a new force to be reckoned with” by Discobelle, Eastman is hitting the road in 2010 and 2011 to spread his high energy, future-leaning sound and “no attitude, just fun, and insane dancing” agenda. Eastman’s debut single, “Feelin’” has consistently been Plant Music’s top seller on Beatport in 2010.

STRETCH ARMSTRONG:
Internationally renowned deejay/producer/overall music impresario Stretch Armstrong listens, works and loves with the same ears that drew him to hip-hop in the eighties, and remains focused on evoking passionate responses from live audiences. He plays a continually evolving, eclectic mix of club music, favoring the sounds that are most whimsical and violating of traditional genre boundaries to club goers both here and abroad.

Stretch is the co-owner of New York-based Plant Music, which is home to such talents as Clubfeet, Tittsworth, Eli Escobar, Will Eastman, The Glass, Dillon Francis, Kap10 Kurt, NROTB, Loose Shus, Smalltown Romeo and others. Catch him every Monday night on East Village Radio along with Eli Escobar for The Delancey Music Service.

FABIANA:
DJ Fabiana is a DC native who stepped onto the club circuit in 2009. Her sets reflect her eclectic taste ranging from electro, disco, house, & hip hop. She currently holds a monthly residency at the Garutachi party at Rock and Roll Hotel, and has performed alongside major acts at the 2009 and 2010 Winter Music Conference in Miami.

NEUROTIC DRUM BAND is comprised of longtime friends of the label and fellow New Yorkers, John Selway and Elliot Taub. Selway is something of a legend, having co-produced some of Deep Dish’s earliest – and arguably finest – moments, not to mention being one-half of techno stalwarts Smith & Selway, and NYC supergroup Rancho Relaxo Allstars with Abe Duque (who recently remixed Neurotic Drum Band’s anthem “Robotic Hypnotic Adventure”). And did we mention that John discovered Fischerspooner, too? Yes? Good. Ulysses (Elliot Taub) has been around the block as well, having been a key player in New York’s burgeoning electro resurgence a decade ago, and has since DJ’ed the world and back supporting a bevy of output on such labels as Tommy Boy, Plant, MBF, and Guidance, amongst many other labels. The man’s current and upcoming releases on Bear Funk, Internasjonal, and Nang, not to mention last year’s solo EP on Wurst is nothing short of stellar. Expect more big things from these two fine gents in the months to come.

MY COUSIN ROY is that cool distant relation you’re always looking forward to seeing. Roy’s the life of the party, endlessly entertaining with seemingly boundless energy. Certainly not bad traits for any of the roles he assumes, from the Wurst label boss to globe-trotting DJ to one-half of production outfit Beg to Differ (with Nick Chacona). Roy’s remixes, edits and his label’s stellar output have lit up dancefloors the world over, with support from dance music luminaries such as Carl Craig, 2Many DJs, Harvey, James Murphy, Aeroplane, and Tiga, amongst others. 2010 has already proven to be a big year for My Cousin Roy, having toured nonstop in Europe and all over the US, mixing a highly coveted podcast for XLR8R Magazine, and playing any chance he gets when back home in New York. And there seems to be no letting up, what with plenty more Beg to Differ remixes and original productions to come, and of course, the growing profile of his Wurst label.

50% OFF ALL BRATWURSTS ALL NIGHT!

FREE WITH FACEBOOK RSVP: http://bit.ly/UHALL_AUTOEROTIQUE

AUTOEROTIQUE stores electro, techno, house, Dutch house, Dutch-colonial house, rave, rock, rave-rock, indie-rock and even ska on speed dial and calls them up frequently. Their effortlessly protean, shape-shifting sound can careen wildly from project to project, so it’s not unexpected to hear them transform from Dutch house to, say, Norwegian black metal on the same record – thus, earning them the lazily au courant nick name “Autobots”.

Following the their 2009 Gladiator EP, Autoerotique showed off the many colourful arrows in their musical quiver releasing remixes for Lykke Li, Shinichi Osawa, Chris Cornell & Timbaland, Diplo & Laidback luke, Larry Tee, B. Rich, Disco Bisquits, Fischerspooner and Weezer. Flash forward 6 months and the group is back in studio—following a non-stop liver-punishing tour—and excitedly working on their next single and first full length LP.

SONICC, one of the fastest climbing producers and DJs in house music today, went from being an unknown 17 year old high school student to a sought after dance music producer remixing the likes of Deadmau5, Laidback Luke, & Kaskade, in a manner of months! Hailing from Miami, SonicC has drawn support from literally every electro, house and trance DJ in the world with his mega dance anthem “Stickin” which went on to become one of the biggest tracks of 2009. Since “Stickin”s release SonicC has gone on to release tracks and remixes on Nervous Records, Ministry Of Sound, Mixmash, Fools Gold, Mute Records, and is now working on his debut full length album for Dim Mak Records. There are few artists that have set a bar quite so high at such a young age but with a long career ahead of him and the support of some of the heaviest hitters in dance music, SonicC is set to prove himself to the world in 2010.

50% OFF W.T.F. DOGS ALL NIGHT!
