Harlem set the tone back in the 1920s. The burst of intellectuals, socialites & artists changed the view of Black people internationally. Less than 100 years later, The House of Sonique reimagines the Renaissance - serving Queer realness.

The Garden Ball Renaissance is jam-packed with an evening of entertainment. The show is a glimpse into the mainstream ballscene, featuring some of DC’s hottest local queer nightlife performers & artists. House of Sonique will features the exclusive, “BIMBOLA”.

Think NYFW with a twist. Also, don’t forget about the dance party afterwards so come in a lewk or stay at home. This night is for the fashion forward only - Renaissance.

It’s a packed night at the Harlem Opera House. You have your debut performance and among the crowd are legends: Josephine Baker & Duke Ellington and more. Come ready to slay the floor dressed as an opera singer. You should be styled in a fashionable, accessorized, one-of-a-kind lewk. Will you hit the high notes or be gagged before you hit the floor.

Due to an unfortunate circumstance, Richard Bruce Nugent had to relinquish is role in the infamous play “Run, Little Chillun”. The casting director is looking fill the position ASAP! Come ready to slay the audition executing all the elements to show that you have mastered your craft.

Among Lenox Avenue lies 15 of the hottest clubs in Harlem. Tonight at the prestigious Lenox Lounge, it’s a special night. The owners are looking to turn up the heat a little more than usual. The promoters are looking for hire some sexy cocktail waiters to spice up with evening. Show up to the interview in a lewk that will get you hired on the spot.

OTA Best Dressed “Fashion Assassin”
The Savoy Lounge is the hottest spot in Harlem. Looking around the club you can see the greatest fashion icons, writers, business, and artists all under one roof. As a new person into the scene, your goal is be “new” but let them know you’re not new to the scene. Show the judges you have mastered your craft and aesthetic. Bring forth a high-fashion look wearing black or red, or any combination of the two.
