The Long Count Cycle is the DJ/live formation of the talented DJ Scallywag and Mr. Blacklauren. Beginning in 2013, The Long Count at Bossa Nova Civic Club began as a sonic exploration by the two and over six years of hosting fellow intrepid music journeyors they occupy a very unique space in the NYC techno community. Namely, they are two scene fixtures whose varied, ambient leaning approach has guided them from residency at Sustain Release festival, to performances at Brooklyn's most beloved events including Unter, Sublimate, and their beloved monthly at Bossa Nova Civic Club. We could not be more excited to host these two for an extended set sure to delight the discerning techno ear.
Known in many circles as Boss Ross, Associate is a DJ moniker that attempts (unsuccessfully) to eschew the modern interpretation of deep house/techno in favor of techno and experimental music that pays tribute to the primordial origins of the techno genus. For years he's been a student of LCC's output and cannot wait to host them and prepare the dance floor for an incredible night of meditative, experimental techno.
