Young Summer - (Set time: 9:00 PM)

Everything Young Summer (a.k.a. Bobbie Allen) does as an artist, she approaches with incredible intensity. Faced with a period of stage fright early in her career, she overcame it, as she likes to say, by “steamrolling through it.”

There’s also a strong word Allen uses to describe her creative process: “deliberate.” From the synthesizer sounds that shift with each track; to mining her favorite ‘80s influences such as The Smiths, Prince and Sinead O’Connor; to the songwriting process and order of the tracks, she refused to leave anything to chance.

She's set to release a new EP this summer and tour in the fall.
Ploy - (Set time: 8:15 PM)

"From Home" is a smooth number crafted by the Hyattsville-based band that allows you to get lost in the song. It should be noted that PLOY has done a fantastic job this year with keeping its name relevant and top-of-mind in the scene without coming across as overbearing. It's difficult for bands to not cross that fine line-but PLOY really has discovered that ideal balance.
Pleasure Curses - (Set time: 7:30 PM)
Pleasure Curses

Pleasure Curses is a duo comprised of (Jahn Alexander Teetsov and Evan Maxwell Grice); childhood friends who reconnected after a decade apart to create audio and visual projects drawing from early electronic dance, disco, experimental new wave and pop music.
From their isolated home studio outside of Washington DC, they have recorded a string of singles, remixes and EP’s with a delivery that flickers from lustful whisperings to acerbic howls over dynamic and genre-bending productions.

Since then, the two have become a notable staple of the modern DC synth scene by injecting energy into every hotel, basement, theater and club they play.
